What a great story! I was completely blindsided by a twist towards the end.

Love the spin off from knitting in the city (#4). Can’t wait to read more about the fabulous Winston brothers.

I really wanted to like the characters but they were so formulaic I couldn’t finish the book.

I absolutely loved it. Could not - would not put down, read it whole in a single sitting. There are some convoluted sentences that left me feeling the author was going for a complicated wording just for the sake of it. But the story is thoroughly enjoyable.

Well written. Fun characters. Hard to put down. Was exciting with good morals and danger. Sexy without being over the top.

This was a cute book! I think my favorite character was Cletus even though he is a side character in the story. The story is engaging, funny, thought provoking but purely entertaining. This is a central theme for Penny Reid. She writes funny but thoughtful books. You often have to look things up because it is so smartly written that it throws you off and you end up actually learning something useful that you wouldn't have expected. The characters are well balanced, easy to empathize with and get attached to as much as you can get attached to a fictional character. The audio is also equally great! The narrators are fantastic and truly bring the book to a whole other dimension. The second "read" of this was via audio for me and it was almost like reading it for the first time all over again.

I was so excited to see that it is written in dual POV (it's my fav)! I just got finshed binging on her Knitting in the city books and I wrapped it up with this jem. This book and Ashley's book are my 2 favorites so far. I pretty much love all of her characters, you can't help but like them. Everyone makes you laugh! Duane and Jessica make such a great couple. Duane just kills me with his epic love for Jessica. “Jessica,” he whispered, “arguing with you is one of my favorite things to do.” “You’re already on that pedestal, Princess. And I respect the hell out of you, whether you like it or not.” *girly sigh* Duane is such a good guy. His momma raised all those boys right! I really liked Jessica, so glad she got over her "mystical Beau voodoo spell". Her "brain soundtrack", so awesome! I want to start doing that. Gah! I could go on and on about this book. I love it so much! Oh and Cletus.... I can't even!!! He had some of the best lines in the book. Can not wait for his story. Read this book people, you won't be sorry!

This story captured my attention right away. Witty inner banter, great character development, and believable conflict. Has a bit of danger thrown in for spice in the form of an ominous biker gang. Read it...you'll love it. Starting the next right now.

Thank you Ms. Penny for kicking your day job to the curb and writing this book! I was laughing out loud, tearing up in other chapters, and trying to read faster than my brain could keep up! Read this books, you will love it. On to number two 👍
